1. Never ceases to amaze me how many of this community place Pop at number 1 or thereabouts, almost all U2 fans I know in real life think like I do,yep great album but no way near their best work.I mean Discotheque and SATS v Pride,Streets,Zoo?
    It's nowhere near for me.

You’ve only listed 5 songs from albums that include 45 songs combined so there’s more to it than just comparing a few songs from the albums. Saying that I don’t rate Pop anywhere near top spot either but I would say it’s better than TUF which you’ve listed a song from.

Yeah I did but I was just giving an example of the bridge in quality,I mean UF for example also has ASOH,TUF,Wire,Bad,it also features a few fillers but are you saying Playboy Mansion is really much better than EPAA? I still enjoy listening to Pop and has songs I enjoy it's just what I would call a lull in their career,Album sales and the tour would seem to back that opinion up.Tbh if they had released Pop2 in 2000 it would've finished them ATYCLB saved them,I might be wrong but didn't the Elevation Tour sell every single ticket of the tour?

I think playboy mansion has got a lot more going for it than EPAA yes and 4th of July. Miami is as bad as both of them. But pop is a 12 song album with 1 terrible song imo and TUF is a 10 song album with 2 terrible songs. Indian summer sky is about on par with the playboy mansion imo. The first half of TUF is undeniable quality but side 2 is amongst their worst side 2’s of any album. Even bad (which is probably the weakest version of the song) and a good MLK don’t save it. Pop you have 7 songs to kick things off which are all very good or better then a dip and then it closes with 3 strong songs albeit please like bad is the worst version of the song.
As for the sales and tours argument that’s not a way I’d ever use to measure quality. If you do so then your favourite U2 songs and albums are just dictated to by the public, I prefer to chose for myself.
