1. I’d still imagine everything is rather fluid seeing as the venue is still unfinished. Clauses upon clauses. If this band performs without its original and only lineup then I’m out.
  2. Man that hurts to hear! Damn. I hope he can recover otherwise it throws so much into question. Before with Bono’s injuries it always felt like a comeback would happen just do to their ages, but with them getting up there those scenarios become more and more difficult. Damn.
  3. And not just the injury but he doesn’t sound particularly peppy with the “benevolent dictatorship” quip, lol. Man, I know he is always kind of like that but you wonder what is going on behind the scenes..
  4. Yeah those are not the words of a happy man.

If he’s that unhappy and he’s not physically up for it, then I’d be fine if he quit or stepped back. Seems to me like his reluctance is holding up the show a little bit. I get that he needs surgery, but he doesn’t seem like he’s give a fuck if they did the Vegas shows without him.
  5. I noticed that there was very little of Larry Mullen's drumming on the snippets on the audiobook which felt strange and worried me a bit.

Needing back surgery sound like having a lot ot pain or other serious issues like numb fingers etc...hope he will be okay.
  6. It's been hard going for Larry on the last few tours right? I remember Adam saying on a podcast that Larry has it the worst, and had to have treatment before and after shows. He had muscle tape on his arms/neck?

I'd rather not U2 tour/continue if it's without Larry, he started the band so
  7. The thing is that what he claims goes beyond the physical toll touring has taken on him. At the end of the day, we don't know what goes on behind the scenes. I will of course be sad if Larry cannot continue and U2 cannot continue, but if Larry is not enjoying himself then it will kind of be selfish of me to be sad. However, he did seem to have had a great time in the last tour in 2019, maybe it was the excitement of going new, different places than usual. I wish he overcomes the physical struggles, and if all four of them genuinely want to hit the road again, we'll be there!

If he is not present on Sunday December 4 in Washington something is up.
  9. He’ll probably be there. This is sort of the equivalent of a lifetime achievement award. I don’t actually think the honorees perform anyway.

But don’t be surprised if this is the last thing he does with the band.
  10. When was his last formal public appearance?
  11. I'd be disappointed but not sad if they stopped the big tours / shows. They have had an incredible run and don't owe anybody anything. All knocking on in age after all.
