"When we formed the band I don't think any of us really knew where we were going. When things really started to happen for us there was a lot of indication, but we've discovered ourselves in a way through that experience. It's why we are still absolutely obsessed with writing songs, putting out albums and going on the road. It's because there is no feeling like being on the stage playing one of your songs with the entire audience singing it back to you. It is such an incredible feeling. What makes it even more live-changing is because the songs we have written over the years have been an attempt to reach out in a very personal way and therefore when this happens at a U2 show. There is a feeling amongst the audience, and we share it, that is very compelling and powerful."
