Actuación

The IEM recordings is NOT from a band member's monitor; it is a recording of one of the mixing desk crew member's monitor.

The recording is fascinating, because it gives the listener a behind-the-scenes perspective of what happens during a U2 concert. Cues are given by a recorded voice; Bono and The Edge can be heard asking/giving instructions to the mixing desk crew, e.g., "more high end." Crew members can also be heard giving other crew members instructions about levels, etc.

The recoding also proves how talented U2's technical crew is at making the remarkably FLAT Bono and The Edge sound. Though the recoding has significant levels of static, it does offer significant clarity into the structure of songs and (sometimes changing) lyrics.

It's like being in The Underworld as an invited guest...
