Notes de la performance: This concert features the debuts of three unreleased pieces of music: a new live intro called Return Of The Stingray Guitar and two complete new songs, North Star and Glastonbury. U2 had not played unreleased material live since 6 August 2001. Two more songs make their tour debuts at this gig: Hold Me, Thrill Me, Kiss Me, Kill Me is performed for the first time since 21 March 1998; Miss Sarajevo is performed for the first time since 9 December 2006. Happy Birthday was sung before I Still Haven't Found in honour of The Edge, whose 49th birthday is on 8 August 2010.

When U2's 2010 European tour dates were announced on 24 September 2009, the Frankfurt concert on 10 August 2010 was given as the opening night of the leg. This concert was not confirmed until 30 November 2009, displacing Frankfurt's status. In the wake of the postponement of U2's 2010 North American dates, this became the band's first concert of 2010 and they rehearsed at length at the venue. Performance

A mostly fantastic start to the 2010 360 tour full of strong performances for the most part, although, as it's a first night, there are also a fair share of mistakes and sloppiness that can be somewhat excused because of this fact, which often includes lyric flubs and musical errors. However, for the most part, you can notice that the band are glad to be back on stage, and the performances have that extra glad to be back on stage feel throughout. Bono's voice is also in excellent shape tonight and stays this way for the entirety of the night.

A fantastic Italian crowd, as usual for U2 concerts. They were well-engaged, and I could even hear them singing almost the entire set at all times.

Général

A great start to the 2010 section of the 360 tour with the band in energetic and mostly good form, while there were a couple of mistakes, such as Edge almost causing the band to drop out the 2nd verse of Until The End Of The World, Bono singing the bridge of The Unforgettable Fire twice and sometimes flubbing lyrics on songs in places, mainly after Miss Sarajevo it was still a fantastic show for the most part. Which included some nice bonuses such as the performances of three unreleased songs: The Return Of The Stingray Guitar, North Star and Glastonbury, The introduction of Miss Sarajevo and Hold Me, Thrill Me, Kiss Me, Kill Me, as well as introducing some snippets onto songs such as Discotheque on I'll Go Crazy, which sounded excellent. Overall a good start for this tour section and a good sign of what was to come.
