  1. I don't know, I feel like since it's Coldplay everyone will still like it blindly while the die-hards seem to be the only ones that aren't in love with it. At least that's what it seems like here in Cali and on sites I see.

    I am going to love it, it seems to be their Zooropa, small album, minimal and a side-step to what they normally do. I welcome it and don't see where this "lacking innovation" comes in. Coldplay never try to be the most innovate band, that's a criticism for U2.
  2. I'm surprised how critical people are - I kind of like the new songs, especially the single. And I'm not a real Coldplay fan... or maybe that's precisely why I like the songs.

    Certainly I like the idea of making new good music.

    I actually quite like that comparison and probably don't disagree with it at all, Gen.

    May not end up being my cup of tea, but that's given me a tinge more respect for the move.
  4. I would love to have heard it performed in full this past week, front-to-back. Thats the only time I will judge an album before its released, when I have heard it the whole way through.

    In other news, the "Target Edition" with the bonus tracks was announced the other day.

  8. I heard yesterday Ghost Stories is about things that have happened to the band in the past year. And today this happens... it's gonna be a dark dark album. Magic just took on a whole new meaning. Sorry for both of them, and the kids.
  9. All the music keeps in second plan when you're leading with something like this, so I wish a lot of happiness to them.

    That said, sometimes beautiful music is created during this process, so I hope Chris find joy in his life while making great music for us.
