Solid performance from everyone for 1st leg standards but still a pretty good show for the tour Bono is also in acceptable form but, as usual for Elevation he does still have a few rough patches in spots though, they are less frequent when compared to a couple of other gigs on this leg so that's a pretty good thing about him tonight but, overall nothing that special other than that they know how to play their set without messing up as much as earlier shows now.
Solid audience recording which seems to really focus on the sound of the band as the audience is quite low in the mix here and you can only hear members that are near to the recording device but other than that, despite being weaker than other recordings I've heard from this tour it is still a good one to experience the show with despite the flaws of less audience sound. Recording: Audience microphone - 2 stars
I couldn't really hear them but, when I could hear them which was only a small fraction of the entire gig they seemed to be having fun as I could hear some members in the crowd singing and cheering during sections of songs so that's good and is probably how the rest of the crowd were even though they don't really show up that much in the recording.
Pretty solid show when compared to the 1st night in Chicago for this run but, still pretty good in spots, the band have also decided to change the around setlist for this night as they have brought back Discotheque into the set, removed Bad brought back Sweetest Thing and have also included All I Want Is You and some other differences so, even if this is a more average show for the leg, at least the setlist changes are cool to observe.
Song highlights for me included:
Discotheque including Love To Love You Baby, Devil Inside and Staring At The Sun snippets
New York including the Transmission snippet
All I Want Is You
Bullet The Blue Sky

what they said
"There were times when he was doing very dangerous things that not only put him in danger, but also other people in the audience - it was a bad period. He would regularly agree never to do it again but at some frustrating point during the show he would go out there again and start climbing up the ringing."
- Paul McGuinness on Bono's stage climbing, 1987
