Comments: This is an excellent IEM recording, most probably taken from Bono's earpiece. There are no dropouts in this recording. The only error I heard is a slight skip on cd 1 track 12 pos: 00:17. The first show in Sweden feels a little bit too predictable. U2 played a very basic set with hardly no surprises or improvisations. Bono's voice isn't perfect, but he compensated this with an extraordinary effort. He was pumped up with a lot of energy. And the fans were responding very enthusiastic. During "Until the end of the world" Bono pulled up a photographer on the stage and did a little bull fighting but the photographer was really boring and just seemed to want to get down. Bono mentioned that Sweden and Ireland are related (from the Viking age) and something like "We invented you, the Irish invented Sweden..., ...you guys weren't the only ones with boats, you didn't invent boats you know"?!? He also said something in Gaelic and said that the only one in the band who could speak Gaelic was Larry. That's nearly the only moment with some improvisation, besides the long introduction of Stay. After closing the set with Pride, the audience kept singing the "oh oh oh oh", until "Bullet the blue sky" was played. And this is nearly 3 minutes long!
Nevertheless the show is awesome and the band put on a good show.
