Performance

'Elevation' is a fucking GREAT start to the show with Bono first shouting "We had to come back here!" and delivering a superb rendition along with the rest of the group but what truly elevates this performance is the crowd who are absolutely NUTS here! The same goes for 'Beautiful Day' which sounds like a gift from heaven. The energy is absolutely unfathomable and I find it very hard putting my emotions into words. 'Until the End of the World' sort of calms down everybody but that is not supposed to mean it's not great - it is! The Edge plays a FANTASTIC solo before the finale.

'New Year's Day' begins the set of oldies and MY GOD is it a goodie! The audience sings along and Bono NAILS those belts like he was still in his 20s if not better! 'Out of Control' is great with some changed lyrics and the audience again singing along passionately. Love the pre-finale speech by Bono! 'Sunday Bloody Sunday' sounds great with audience participation similar to 'Elevation' and everything sounding very tight on the band's side. 'Stuck in a Moment' is a bit messy with Bono messing up a few lyrics and speaksinging some parts of the bridge but the rest is really good.

'Kite' is awesome as it should be and always will be. 'Angel of Harlem' starts off the acoustic set really nicely but is nothing more than quite solid. Just like at the last show, a sign leads to 'Knockin' being performed and while it's not the tightest rendition, I love Bono's soulful vocals and the guitar girl's playing. 'Staring at the Sun' sounds absolutely gorgeous and I'm quite sad they decided to take it out of the set for a decade after tonight. 'Bad' sounds terrific with Bono embellishing every single line and the audience singing along very passionately. Not that I need to say it, but 'Streets' is fantastic with Bono embellishing lines, exchanging lyrics and the crowd singing along passionately.

'Still Haven't Foun't is a great rendition with lots of nice audience participation and Bono again sounding very uplifted. 'Pride' features a GREAT guitar solo by The Edge who worked double time for that one! The first encore begins with a blistering rendition of 'Bullet the Blue Sky', of course including a SPICY as hell solo by The Edge! The outro is absolutely fantastic too. A gorgeous 'What's Going On' takes us into the highlight of the evening, 'New York' in New York! 'One' sounds a bit shaky, 'Walk On' is a great finish to the show.

Sound

Great AUD that is only held back by sounding a tad too harsh in the high ends - it otherwise captures the band and the incredible audience very well.
Recording: "This Time Will Pass" - 4 stars

Audience

As to be expected with a NYC crowd - absolutely godly stuff!
