Strong performance. Bono is chatty. The band sound great, Edge is nice and clear.
It’s rainy and Bono alludes to this repeatedly. Bono improvises lyrics on Beautiful Day. All I Want Is You is a treat and the segue yo City of Blinding Lights works well, which has either an unlisted snippet or improvised lyrics. Impassioned version of Sometimes You Can’t Make It. Edge comes through spectacularly on Love and Peace with some properly ominous guitar sounds. Bullet also has neat guitar work. Miss Sarajevo is frankly a bit of lull - until Bono nails the operatic parts, that is! Streets and One are strong by Vertigo standards at least and the encore is quite good.
Say what you will about Bono’s long speeches this tour, I like the background intro to One and the Father Abraham bit in Sunday Bloody Sunday.
There are some issues early on but it’s quite good. Not much crowd though. Recording: "People Like Us" - 4.5 stars
Solid show, not absolutely incredible but with an inspired performance and high quality sound. Bono is in a good mood and lots of the songs have a nice sparkle.

"There was a time when I would have thought that being in a band meant sex, drugs and rock and roll. It would have been an aspiration originally. But, in a way, once I found myself in that situation, I wasn't so keen on it."
