overall the band wasn't too bad, but bono's timing was off in a couple of songs. edge started the guitar on ultraviolet just a little bit late. there weren't any other mistakes i noticed but i'm sure there were some
it's good enough for my ears, except for one tree hill which has a lot of muffle and movement that makes it pretty unlistenable Recording: Audience microphone - 3.5 stars
they was loud and doing the audience stuff and whatevs
Overall not a super duper boring JT30 show (which is rare.) It's probably just regular boring, particularly during the Joshua Tree album because that part never varies between shows. The songs are still great, but none are my favorites and the lack of variety makes it boring.
Bad / America (S&G) (snippet): Bono's timing was a bit off at parts, and he didn't hold notes for particularly long. It's fine, but it seemed a bit long with just the one snippet (which was repeated twice.) Especially since it was just the "All gone to look for America" line like 10 times I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For: again, bono's timing was off at points and also this song is just boring live (generally.) the addition of zero snippets does not help it out. Bullet The Blue Sky / War (snippet) / America (snippet) / The New Colossus (snippet): honestly any non-ZooTV or PopMart bullet is just boring to me but this wasn't bad for the tour or anything. Running To Stand Still: I actually really like JT30's RTSS. It's not Zoo levels, but it's actually pretty good Red Hill Mining Town: I wish there was SOME guitar on this. It's not bad as is, but I like the studio version better. Exit / Wise Blood (snippet) / Eeny Meeny Miny Moe (snippet): this song is great, bono made some moan-like sounds before "his hand it felt heavy" Beautiful Day / Drunk On A Plane (snippet): Drunk On A Plane snippet was weird tbh, also the whole herstory thing seems unnecessary Vertigo / The Saints Are Coming (snippet): The Saints are Coming snippet was actually pretty nice, and after the song ended Bono said "alright.. we should figure out how to do that.. that's a tune." Unfortunately they did not figure out how to do that one Ultra Violet (Light My Way): Edge came in a little late with the guitar, but Bono's vocals on "Ultraviolet" in the chorus was different and I liked it. One / Drowning Man (snippet): Drowning Man snippet feels a bit forced to be honest but it's nice to see Drowning Man acknowledged I guess You're The Best Thing About Me: The guitar in the chorus was different than the album version and I like it, this is probably my favorite version of this song. I hate the acoustic one I Will Follow: Interesting closer, the crowd liked it and also Bono said it was played on a Strat for the first time ever. So that's kinda interesting, I guess.
Highlights: RTSS, Exit, Vertigo, Ultra Violet, Best Thing

Notes: There a few times where I had an issue with one of the clips for my mics. Overall the sound is pretty good. Really enjoyable show. At the beginning of Trip Through Your Wires the mics had to be lowered to make adjustments. No music lost, just muffled for a minute or so. Enjoy!

"Playing outdoors was a huge worry, because I've never seen an outdoors how that I really thought was great. Once we got started though we were fine, in fact we're so pleased with the way the outdoor shows went that we decided to add more outdoor shows to the American tour."

U2's first rehearsal as The Larry Mullen Band took place in Larry's kitchen in Artane, Ireland in 1976. The kitchen was the size of his entire drum kit used on modern-day touring and in the studio.
