I had a grand time.....on a work night and having to work the next day made it difficult to I guess fully relax, but all things considered it was great. I've talked to others that said the show seemed flat - one said one of the most boring U2 shows he'd ever seen, as far back as Dec 1987 -- and I don't get it.
The overt politicism of this show, in Bono's comments, repeatedly invoking Dr. King and the new 'DACA' controversy, I think may have colored some reviews or impressions. I didn't get the sense they were flat. I saw much the same show I saw in LA 5/20 and thought it was a pretty solid show.
I taped it and i expect it to show up shortly. The sound was kinda muddled. Even with an semi-open roof, the echo and kinda muddiness colored the sound. I don't know if I quote/unquote 'beat' the Sundancer source, but I can say mine is a different source.
Mine is different from Sundancer's, slightly. The sound where we were was kinda blatty, muddled, etc. Edge's harmonics were kinda hard to pick out, as compared to LA. Instead of that perfect pinprick sound, it was kinda.....not really happening. The mics we smuggle in can only do so much, folks...... Recording: "Rattle & Hum in the Valley of the Sun" - 2.5 stars
We were in the midlevel seats. Didn't notice anyone 'dancing' per se but the GA just below us were having fun.
I've only seen 10 U2 shows in my life.
On a work night / work the next day night, we had a great time. It was much the same as LA1 (5/20/17), with even some of the same patter, and the sound was mushed and 'blatt-y' as I said, but.....I liked the audience invocation that started "Bad", and the JT suite was amazing. The post-JT set was awesome and hi energy. Ending on 'One' was kinda slow but all in all, we, and the friends we carpooled with, had a blast.

Bought a ticket at the last minute to see this show and I'm glad I did - what an amazing show. I realized the last time I saw U2 was during the
original Joshua Tree tour back in 1987 at the Day on the Green at the Oakland Coliseum. Fast forward 30 years later and here I was seeing them
perform live again. Why did I wait so long? If you've never seen U2 live - go see them while you have a chance. They are one of the last top tier bands
worthy of playing a stadium show.
I hadn't recorded in quite awhile and made a couple of mistakes on this recording. During the opening number I accidently hit pause, but realized it right away
and resumed the recording. You can hear the blip at 1:08 on Sunday Bloody Sunday
My levels were too hot and during Where The Streets Have No Name For I turned the level input too low and cut the mics for a couple of seconds. You
can hear the blip at 3:15
Finally, I was not satisfied with how the levels were reading and then realized I had the mic gain set to high. I made a rookie mistake and turned it off
right before With Or Without You, which caused the recording volume to drop significantly. I brought them up quickly during the show, bu had to further adjust
the levels in WavePad to try and match the previous volume, so you may notice a difference.

"Zooropa is the sound of U2 becoming comfortable with a new recording recording environment. After the attrition of Achtung Baby, it was lear that this technology stuff was OK, it's not the Devil, it's not the enemy, we can work with it. Edge was exploring dance and hip-hop culture, club mixes, he was experimenting and U2 were his guinea pigs."

Within a few days of finishing the album, "Red Hill Mining Town" was U2's leading contender for the first single of The Joshua Tree. Then as the weeks went by, views started to change and it became "With or Without You".
