Performance

Bono sounds very unstable from the start, cracking many times during the opening number 'Gloria' and some of The Edge's guitar work sounds a bit off here and there. 'Another Time, Another Place' was decent but Bono again sounds unstable as hell during the parts of 'Rejoice' we currently have. 'An Cat Dubh' (or in this case, 'An Cut Dubh') and 'Into the Heart' sound nice with tight musicianship and Bono sounding more confident with his voice. 'I Threw a Brick' is surprisingly strong with some great vocals and musicianship.

'The Cry' / 'The Electric Co.' sounds pretty electrifying (pun intended) but is even missing the classic 'Send in the Clowns' snippet; 'I Fall Down' sounds pretty bad on Bono's end, cracking and airing out on pretty much every second line if not more. 'October' sounds pretty nice although Bono sings a wrong lyric during the first verse and sounds a bit weak on the first "and on" as it's done in shaky falsetto. 'Stories for Boys' is surely one of the better songs of the evening as Bono sounds good and the band plays well with fantastic vocal harmonies by The Edge.

'I Will Follow' starts with another bad crack by Bono but is overall a solid although not great performance. 'Twilight' isn't great but Bono holds up better than expected before completely giving out during the second chorus. 'Out of Control' is weak with many parts being more spoken than sung and Bono cracking badly towards the end of the song. The encore is alright with an energetic '11 O'Clock Tick Tock'.

Sound

We have a pretty solid source for most of the show but it's missing Stories for Boys; Most of Rejoice and An Cat Dubh are missing on all sources we have. The good source sounds worse from 'I Will Follow' onwards.
Recording: Audience microphone - 3 stars

Audience

I could barely hear the audience outside the usual cheering between songs.

Overall

Overall, another rather unremarkable early gig where the band sounds a bit selfconscious with an overall weak performance by Bono who simply can't gain full control over his voice yet. The band isn't doing badly but there are sloppier moments and the creativity isn't as fleshed out yet although the rather poor crowd might also play a part in this. No real highlights here.
