REMASTER/REPAIR NOTES:
Basically what I did is to make this very exciting and hot recording
listanable on the headphones. That meant taking out a lot of loud screams
with the RX 05. Most of the times this was pretty straight forward with
the "Spectral Repair", but sometimes I just cutted out the whole bunch.
Drp-outs in "Gloria" and "A Day Without Me" were fixed using the other
channel.
The running speed of the recording as been adjusted by -13/100 semitone.
This gives A=440 in the "Spectral pitch Display" of Audition + an electric
hum of exactly 60Hz (consistent with a 1Gen copy).
Still a very wild show recorded from the front row. Not for the faint hearted!
BIGGIRL - MARCH 13, 2019
NB" No EQ has been aplied (just a little boost of the volume...why not!)
Shawn McMurdo's COMMENTS (from U2Start 2014):
"I was at the show and my firend recorded it with a handheld recorder
from right in front of the stage. I got a copy from him that night.
Thirty years later I recorded it to wav and converted to flac.
Lucky the tape still played after all these years!
[...]
We were excited, especially when Bono was crowd surfing on us and someone
tried to take his leather jacket. Anyway, I hope everyone enjoys this show.
I sure did! We left after U2 played and before J Geils Band came on.
The show was over. :-)"
