1. EDIT: as confirmed by U2songs this is NOT our "The Edge", but a different artist with the same stage name. Hence the confussion. Sorry!

The Edge just released this solo instrumental.

The Edge - Return To Senegal

  2. Experimenting with elevator music?
  3. EL-E-VA-TOR
  4. It's halfway between elevator music and a videogame theme, yep. What I truly wonder is where the hell did it come from and why release it now that news about U2 albums and tours are starting to surface.

@u2wanderer1 any additional info on this track? Thanks!
  5. That’s not The Edge
  6. That sounds more like hold music for a call centre than elevator music

All our operators are currently busy but your call is important to us, so please hold on and we'll be with you shortly 📞
  7. This will be a major hit live. I think it works best as encore opener. Thoughts?
  8. Clearly an encore opener or a taped show opener played while the band descends on to the MSG Sphere stage in a giant elevator.
  9. No no, it would make a great show opener, a bit like Love Is All We Have Left. Start with this chilled instrumental solo from Edge before launching into I Will Follow.

There's a couple of different artists named The Edge that often end up mis-categorized as our Edge on streaming services. There's a DJ from the Netherlands, and an artist from Japan among others. A couple of weeks ago a new release from "U2" popped up as well, but it turned out to be a duo from Japan.

I'm doubtful this will prove to be The Edge from U2 in any way. The last one that popped up like this was called "Lunatice" and it turned out to be the Dutch DJ. But like this one it originally ended up attributed to the U2 guitarist, until rights were sorted out and the track was moved. It no longer shows up that way.

Deezer has it attributed to a very different The Edge: https://www.deezer.com/en/artist/121444192 (Doubt it is him either...)

Haha alright, thanks for clarifying So we can assume it's most likely a categorizing mistake and Dave Howell Evans doesn't have to do anything with it.

    Thankfully
