1. They have multiple projects going on at all times. For example, after the conclusion of the Elevation tour in December 01 they literally went right into the studio in France. They worked on new material and released 90 00 in October of 02. In 2006 they had a spring and autumn tour and released a complilation album, DVD with new time consuming editing and book that probably took the most time. I'd imagine their team is usually always busy if not then themselves.
  2. a long period of hibernation would have been a good thing, waking up for reselling a 20 year album ruins the benefits of the hibernation a bit which is a shame as nobody needs a 2nd copy of an album they already got. All That You Can't Leave Behind is a great album and coming after the 90's it was sort of refreshing. But they more or less went on that same foot for the past 20 years so it lost that fresh feeling quite a bit. So I don't think it's the right time for a re-release, silence would have served them better.

There has been smaller releases in recent years but at the beginning of the millennial it was really consistent with big releases in the fall. Now, it is primarily RSD releases and things being released in earlier 'quarters'.

Are we complaining that the band isn’t in hibernation? 🤣
  6. They need the money to fund their restaurant trips, it's hard for them, to eat at home.
  7. I complain that they are never seen wearing masks or social distancing in public indoor places, now that there is a second wave in European countries.
  8. Bono has a messianic complex and probably thinks he is immune to it all and his disciples too. He has bought into a myth that perpetuates without a single shred of evidence.

His friend Bill Gates probably told him not to worry about anything.
