At the end of each song rose some applause, while the reactions of the people present were the most varied: there were those who danced, who remained engrossed, who was wiping a tear of emotion and those who simply stamped his feet to the bitter cold - close in a leather jacket worn to remember Lou.
The widow of former Velvet Underground, Laurie Anderson, was obviously present, surrounded by a swarm of photographers stopped to talk with fans and friends gathered.
All this took place without publicity (there was no poster or banner to indicate what was happening), in an almost family: for three hours was simply the music of Lou to speak - and to say everything.
