1. I always thought that the line from Beautiful Day was “No space to win in this town.
  2. For me UTEOTW for ages thought it was "in the garden I was playing guitar" instead of playing the tart.
  3. I just found out that the lyric from Atomic City:
"And if your dreams don't scare you, they're not big enough" is not in-fact:
"And if your dreams don't scale, they're not big enough"

(Which I found both clever and illogical. But the actual lyric makes more sense)
  4. Yeah, just blowing in the breeze from Wild honey became."Edge is blowing in a breeze"
  5. I've heard people think Kite was "There's a cat blowing out of control on a breeze"
Then there's "The sky's full of felines"

What's with things taking flight in this album?!
  6. Not U2 related but for years I thought Sting sang “A year has passed since I broke my nose” in Message In A Bottle before realising it was “A year has passed since I wrote my note”
  7. When I was introduced to the Achtung Baby album in 1998 by a college friend which started my fandom, I misheard the chorus of Zoo Station as 'so specciialll!!' and the chorus on Ultra Violet as 'don't you wanna knowww...'

  8. I always thought the line "holy dunc spacejunk comin' in for the splash" in Mofo was "holy duck spacejunk comin' in for the splash"

.....actually tbh i prefer holy duck

Also remembering my first listen to The Fly and being blown away by the chorus falsetto, not hearing any lyric and just assuming it was vocal gibberish sounds.
My mom always tells me that she was convinced of that UV one too.
