  1. Guys, ignore them.
They always complain about the screen

There’s a very real possibility that sphere production cost less to the group than any of their normal tours because they didn’t have to design and source the actual infrastructure for the shows

I agree with you on the second paragraph.
It's still about the simply created gifs and the colorful pictures also called jpegs. The pictures were just blobbed. In german means (aufblobben). What's new about it?
  3. /Anyone listening to the todayFM broadcast ? i had a connection but lost it now cannot reconncet

Gifs and Jpgs? Those are not video formats. They are highly compressed. Professional video creators work in professional software applications to create pre-rendered video (uncompressed, at least at 12K - taking up petabytes of storage) or render video live. They absolutely do not create content in gif and jpg formats.

    Please just go away.

Google jpeg and gif for craps sake and stop.
  6. This just in…U2 to release a set of animated gifs and lo-res jpgs that they used for Sphere. Will be distributed on 5.25” floppy disc.
  7. I was the sphere Sunday for phish. Happy to post my full comparison review if people are interested, but the short version is I thought the phish show was generally on par with the u2 shows, just very different. Phish obviously leaned into the flexible psychedelic imagery, and I thought it was really well done. That said, it lacked the cohesion and overall image quality/progression that the u2 show had. Both fit the individual band’s style, and I’m really excited to see how the venue continues to develop. I’m headed to dead and co on the first weekend

I can't wait to see what someone like Beyonce and her team could do in that space. After seeing Renaissance last summer, pushing the boundaries of concert visuals is alive and well with her.
  11. I can't wait to see a good rockband playing a bunch of good songs without pushing the boundaries of visuals...

I’m surprised it hasn’t been announced yet. Supposedly still in the works though. I think after U2, Phish, and Dead and Company they are in danger of appearing to be a place for old rock acts to go hang out. They need an act that’s a little more current to break that up…
