They surely got comparisations...but that's all, for me. U2 can't be topped....(I say that while listening to the First Time snippet turning into the rest of Bad, Chicago 05-21-2005..haha)

If by edgier you mean slightly less talented, slightly more annoying and stuck in a repetitive groove since 1984, then yes.

drug addict guitarist who leaves then returns agai. Have you watched their Slane show. It rocks harder than U2's Slane (of course U2 Slane is better though)

Can't say I have. Apart from maybe 8-10 songs they've never really been my thing. I don't get this 45 year olds trying to be 'down with the kids' hip-funk thing. Not knocking it, obviously works for a lot of people and I can see there's talent there. Just not for me. Prefer Muse. They rock hard.
  8. RHCP are my official favourite band. like, ever.

    U2 close second, ofc.

    John Frusciante > All.

  9. OMG! I love this song so much! About 2 months ago, I had a RHCP craze where I constantly listened to them. This was were I really got into the album 'Mother's Milk'. I only enjoyed that about because of the funky sounds which were there. I absoutely love their covers of Jimi Hendrix songs as well. But Higher Ground is awesome. Such a brilliant cover to a Stevie Wonder song.

  10. RHCP are honking.
  11. Too bad Frusciante is gone
