1. I only partly agree; even if Bono hadn't been injured, this Claw would probably head east after the SLC show. BUT the fact that it isn't on the road NOW suggests to me that the band is still quite uncertain about when/where the tour will start.

If the truck driver texts me and says this Claw is going to Minneapolis, for example, then we will know (probably prior to any announcement on U2.com) that the tour is scheduled to start at least sometime before the Minneapolis show.

On the other hand, if the driver texts me and says he is headed somewhere else, we may be able to make a reasonable assumption about the tour based on that information. Perhaps he'll say he is headed to NY - which would suggest to me that the band is probably canceling the North American leg and position the claws to be transported to Europe for that leg of the tour.

Any factual information is relevant and useful in piecing together what is going on behind the scenes. Without facts (such as where this Claw is going) we are left only to complete speculation. With facts, we can make reasonable assumptions. The more facts we can get, the more certain our assumptions will be. Therefore, I'd love for somebody to be able to identify where the other 2 claws are at the moment!

We would post stuff about the new tour schedule in a different topic thread, but that thread was closed?????????

Seriously, thank you for doing this! Give us as much information as soon as possible. With luck will have to have the information a few hours before U2.com

  4. lets feed the mill. Maybe they are keeping the Claw in SLC because Bono's already better?

Because you don't want to pay 50 truck drivers to sit in their trucks for a month with the claw sitting there doing nothing. This is a very expensive ordeal to have all these trucks sitting idle. The cheaper alternative is to take the trucks to their next location, unload the claw, pay for storage for 1 month, then build it.

  6. No, because they would build it, not put it in a parking lot on trucks. You know that.

I don't understand why people refuse to (or get annoyed by others who) try to put all the facts together to make reasonable assumptions?
  7. I think the more "realistic" rumor is that the Leg 3 of 360 tour will start directly at Minneapolis, I hope it's will be that ! So... Greg, we wait for your update

    Thank you again

  8. I spoke to a construction crew member last night in SLC - he said they were all scheduled to go home today (he was flying to san diego). Then he said that the tentative plan that the crew has heard was that they would then be headed to Oakland to set up a claw. But that plan wasn't final as they awaited further news. It seems clear that at this point everybody, including the tour managers, are simply waiting to hear about Bono's condition and possible rehab timeline.

We have no facts is the reason why. U2.com won't lie. A truck driver might

  10. Impossible. Come on, Bono had a slipped disc - that's as close to death as you can get.
He will never be able to get on stage again. All legs will be cancelled, noone knows what to do, so the trucks are heading everywhere to stay in motion and to bewilder the fans who are searching for reasonable assumptions.

At least that's the impression you get here.

    That's ridiculous.
