Yeah, it's conflictive, but it will fuck off scalpers and that's what they want I think.
  2. I see U2 officially is reviewing this question right now, what to do when you want to purchase tickets as gift.
  3. A bit more leniency for the pre-sale would have been nice. Scalpers target general release sales. Allowing die hard fans access to limited tickets for more shows is perfectly in line with this whole 2 shows concept.

What good is 2 tickets across a whole tour if I have to use them on myself to see both shows if I have to go alone?

The two ticket limit is because fewer people can fit into an arena vs a stadium. In U2's eyes that is.

The 2 ticket limit is fine per show but if you are going to promote 2 separate shows then allowing fans access to more than 1 show would have been better. Casual fans won't care so why not be a bit more flexible with the pre-sale?

We shall see how it pans out

two tickets across the tour, so if i buy two tickets for london on this first tour, and they then do another tour in 2016, we wont get another code?

that sounds worse than before to be honest!

My recently extended subscription is indicating "Subscription: 2014/2015" but my account is active until may 2016. So I'm assuming that a subscription for 2015/16 will provide a new pre sale code? (if there is a tour in 2016)
  7. Wow! Would love to meet up! Let me know what shows you'll be at in NYC.
  8. Nice! Would love to! I'll open a meet-up topic later on. Tomorrow I'll buy tickets for the show on the 23rd. But still looking for tickets to the others as well
  9. Seems like U2.com has all detailed timings and shortcuts to the pre-sales ready:
    http://www.u2.com/tour/

Maybe posted already but just found it out.
  10. still waiting on this pre-sale code....

good thing i wasnt buying tomorrow as im suspecting they wont have codes out in time!
  11. Don't worry, it will be send, U2.com will do this overnight. They still have quite some time. Also, the code will be listed on the TOUR page on U2.com later.
  12. So, ticketmaster seems to have the pricing set at either $30 or $275. But no explanation of what the $275 gets you over the $30. Anyone know ?
