1. Listening to it from opening night I forgot to say

Too many backing tracks featuring too prominently? Even for the boys there was quite a lot.

There's a fine line between backing tracks adding to a song, and being a profound dominant side. I suspect they may consider this the latter.

I think the tour came too fast for them personally; they had a general idea of what they wanted to do, mainly with the new songs, and then tried a lot of ideas to work around with them. Hence rehearsing 40+ odd songs pre-tour.

Now look how prominently WLCTT is featuring following Vancouver
They're still figuring it out (they even have a new intro song - how often do you see them change that early in the tour). It's great for fans as they'll add to or subtract from the setlist, but it means that they probably still need some time figuring out what to do with some songs. Chin up; think it's too early for them to abandon The Troubles altogether.
  3. They aren't going to abandon The Troubles. I have a feeling that this is going to be a very long tour similar to 360 and we should be prepared for drastic changes as things progress.

hope your right,is there any chance of legal issues with lykke li and her record label,or her management.
  5. I can't say, but I think if there were legal issues or management issues with Lykke Li and U2, the media would be all over it.
  6. why would there be? she even recorded a video for the live performances so I think its quite he opposite.
  7. So she features in the song, raves positively about it, and then goes the other way round because she (or her management) doesn't want the song to be played live? Sorry, where's the sense in that?
  8. Most likely scenario is that the band is unsure as to where to put it. And rather than taking the approach of putting it anywhere and everywhere until they decide where it should fit, they decided to shelve it... The Troubles could be a solid opener, but you never know unless you try it!

  9. Opener?

Everyone says it would be a great main set / concert closer.

Bono confirmed a few days back at a meeting with fans that they just need to find a good setlist spot for it. I hope they do soon
  10. I agree that it would make a great closer. But if they really don't know where it should go they should just put it everywhere, even in random spots. Fans love that.
  11. Great opener for a funeral yeah...
