Anyway, the thing is that it is an authentic representation of the original broadcast (including some pitch corrections).
The re-broadcast of 2007 is perfect for in the car and otherwise "on speakers," but the original broadcast is what you want on your headphone.
In time there will be a dedicated BigGirl "classic" remaster topic, in which I will feature this (there are in fact already more classic BG remasters in the u2start datbase...)
I may have something something for the Werchter show one year before in 1982, but I want this bootleg to have more time in the spotlight (hype train!)

    You mean this one?
  3. Yep, a better soundboard recording.
  4. But not here yet
  5. I'm comparing notes here: what was shared as The PJ De La Parra tape is perhaps not even the best sounding - but it sure is better than what is now in the u2start database (and wrongly shared as Audience Microphone).
There is another, more complete version (with all DJ comments), also recorded in August 1982. I think that is the one you want to have up in the data base. It's 19 tracks (including the DJ talk) and all untagged.

My pleasure! I'm really grateful that my remasters can have a place in the BIG, BIG, u2start database (and especially this one because it features a transfer from a tape that was part of the U2 Holland trading pool back in the 80-ies - it means a lot to me and to several other people...)

I've started listening to your boot and you're absolutely right: this one is to enjoy with headphones, you can appreciate the difference there. Great job!
  7. i must have a looksy at that then have a listen..
  8. Now in our pages, an excellent (4.5 stars) broadcast of 1981-05-11 Denver. An early version of I Fall Down, Boy/Girl with Let's Twist Again snippet, Bono in a battle to the death with a bottle of champagne... you want to check this one out.
For those that are looking for Boy compilations, this show had great versions of many songs.
  9. Also, the bootleg of 1981-03-28 Denver was "fake" and actually was the same recording we had for 1981-05-11 Denver. This was already fixed.

Is it the same I uploaded in FLAC a few years ago or a new source altogether?

I love that show, I'd love to have a new even better version!
