I'm lost. From reading this thread I would have thought the exact opposite! LOL. Glad you enjoyed!

    Surely you did something wrong...

Yeah I loved yesterday's show as well. The highlight for me was the "Best Birthday Ever" girl on the stage... I find it too emotional to think of that girl thinking it's the best birthday ever just for being there on the show, but get up on the stage, Bono singing her Happy Birthday with all the crowd.. wow! well... she had birthday and christmas in one night. Fantastic!

Absolutely. It's a small gesture that only takes up 1 or 2 minutes, and you suddenly turn a "good rock show memory" into an "epic lifelasting memory".
  5. It seems as if everyone was just bummed because there wasn't a tour debut on this thread. Being there is always great.
  6. That's what it comes down to. Although I will say PJ makes mistakes because they play a diff set ever night. I just think U2 is more scared of making mistakes than PJ. I'm over the set discussion. I still wish for more variation but it seems we're actually getting less now that COBL isn't rotating with Miracle Drug. I'm still super stoked about my upcoming shows at the garden. I'm sure they'll be amazing regardless of what they play. Look forward to also meeting up with everyone!

  7. I really hope u can make it to night 1 this Saturday also.

I know about being there live, for sure! Seems as if the bumming was way more than no debut... Technology is a fickle bitch. You can listen to every show in every city... So when theres no big change in the setlist it gets repetitive... For any band (most anyway) But for most of those at the show for the first time, it's a great evening of fresh entertainment and new banter...

Some of us should take a few nights off and wait till the 4th or 5th night in NYC!

This is why a lot of my friends going to NY this weekend haven't followed streams or setlists so far... To keep it fresh. They know what the band has doing for 20+ years live... Technology limits a free for all set. No surprise to us old folks. We're in awe of the technolgy but love the human element of the show. A slip up here, a botched riff there. That's what keeps the shows unique in themselves...

I think U2 should send holograms of themselves on tour next time and play to album tracks. Then everyone can have their perfect, tight, error free sets!
  9. ...yup... I myself will at least skpi NYC 1t/m4 and plan to stay awake for 7 &8. Than I'm turning off Torino and try to attend Amsterdam 1-4 in person...spoiler free...
  10. Some nice very high-res photos posted of last night by Adam Hansen, more to follow.
