1. I chose Boston2 because I think they have the best performances of I Will Follow and Bad to date...
  2. This week I checked out the Boston Orpheum Theater show from 1983 FM broadcast boot (holy shit) and now I'm listening to the audience recording. The beginning of Sunday Bloody Sunday is slightly different..the FM broadcast begins with Bono giving the "rebel song" speech, whereas the audience doesn't have it. Sure, it was cut out. But the audience recording has Bono saying "sunday bloody sunday!" after the drums already start, and people cheer, whereas the FM broadcast he says it after the rebel song thing before the band starts at all.

    WHAT GIVES?!

Also, I wish the entire show was in that FM quality. Some of the reviews say the audience recording is just as good if not better, but I completely disagree. My god, that FM recording is incredible. The energy and power of the band can be heard in it. The audience version doesn't have the same effect.

Yep this is a great one! Seems this show asks for a review of yourself then

The Boston '83 bootlegs are a mess. They're mixed, mistagged and just all over the place. We're working on it but it's quite probable that the FM recording of SBS you just listened to doesn't actually belongs to Boston Any other discordances through the show that you can point out? Everything helps in this bootleg identifying job!
  5. I can definitely help when I listen to them again.

But that's a bit disappointing about SBS not belonging to that show..it's odd because the sound quality matches the the rest of the bootleg?
  6. Not sure man, I would have to listen to it myself. Can you provide a link of what you've downloaded exactly and from where? Thanks!
  7. Is "Bono Banter" missing?
  8. I went through those shows a while ago. The FM Broadcast is definitely from May 6th. We had it as May 5th and it was moved. The "Audience recording" is also a Broadcast, but complete.

Yeah, but that doesn't explain the discrepancy.
