Isn't it a Vegas thing? Didn't he ruin his voice there at the very beginning of PopMart? Isn't it some problem with the kind of air that is in that region?

The struggling sounds very similar to PopMart Las Vegas.
  3. I miss the October / Bullet after EBW ;>
  4. Predictable set. Disappointing that they didn't use it as a chance to release something new. I honestly think they should give up their search for "relevancy", as it just won't happen, judging by what they are doing. They are starting to feel like a sort of "retro act" unfortunately. As I saw someone say on another forum, they should now stick to pleasing the fans they have instead of trying to get new fans that they will never have. They should play longer shows with more rarities, and release music whenever they have songs that they are happy with. They would probably break up before this would happen, but just my thoughts

Maybe because of Bono's vocal problems they saved a new song for later.
  6. WOWY was on the setlist after ISHWILF but wasn't played.

I think he ruined his voice in Desire.
  7. That makes sense, but I think they booked these two gigs so that they could promote their new single/album, and as u2 like to do, didn't finish or didn't feel it was "perfect" yet.
  8. My phone keeps pausing the download so I can't get it

Or Bono spending too much time being "non-partisan" about US elections on Charlie Rose when he shoulda been rehearsing.
  10. Like I said last night, I think were all originally expecting a greatest hits show, then got a bit excited and expected a new single - and we just got a greatest hits show. But, it was the kind of show that reminds you why they're greatest hits.

The reason they took this show was probably just the exposure. They're surely going to be releasing something within the next few months, and they'll want to be 'relevant' when they do. And sure, it wasn't their crowd, and sure, lots of people left after Drake, but it's not as though the entire arena bailed. There were probably thousands of people there at their first U2 gig, and probably a lot of them who'd never really known U2 before. They do now, and that setlist gave a pretty solid chance of liking what they heard. A nice sampler of a rock n roll band crashing a pop festival.
  11. Desire was amazing...was a throwback to ZooTV /Popmart and worked really well...."what do you have to lose" pure brilliance in getting a message across....not suprised at the lack of new songs as that would not be a U2 audience ..good set...glad to see MLK's voice make a return too...

    Thanks again for the upload!
