  1. That acoustic performance is one of the worst things I’ve ever heard U2 play on stage.
  2. Not quite as bad as when Edge messed up NLOTH acoustic though, that was a really bizarre acoustic song choice.
  3. I call bullshit. They played Miami live on several occasions.
  4. Miami packed a punch on occasion. This best thing performance is just so tame and lifeless.

  7. It's an acoustic version. The same could be said about Stay or Stuck (everyone hates Stuck so the probably will trash on it regardless).


    But Miami is lacking on all occasions. It is probably the main reason I detested Pop for so long.
  9. I think one of the biggest problems with acoustic Best Thing is how low Bono sung it. Didn't sound right at all, I like acoustic u2 despite my criticism of NLOTH above. Whilst most songs I prefer electric I still think the likes of walk on, stuck In a Moment, please, ground beneath her feet amongst others are all great acoustic but there was a bit of passion in there. Stay is my favourite song and the acoustic performances of it on the elevation tour were my favourite again though Bono was giving it everything. Last night he didn't really go for it until the last chorus.

    Bono spoke the lyric. In either case you are defending it against Miami. Doesn’t say much for it.

    Hope so. My impression is that they still don’t know what they want the song to be. At least three versions doing the rounds and then this stripped back version out of the blue that sounds like the most half assed thing ever. Going back to Little Things would be much preferred.
