1. It was going soooo good and then they had to remove the coda! WTF???? Why, why don't they even release one version of this song?
  2. It's gotten so much worse through the years I used to love it back in the day but now it's a bit cringeworthy to hear, in all honesty.
  3. Same drums as love is bigger

  4. But, is this a studio version of the song? I suppose It's not included on O.S.T "TRANSFORMER 3"...
  5. It's an IEM recording of a rehearsal, can't remember from where (Helsinki?)

  7. I heard the first live performance of North Star at Turin in 2010. Went down like a lead balloon of course since no one knew it but I thought it was good.
  8. I love this song can't believe that it's not on a soi bside or single or something
  9. C'mon you can't tell me North Star (in the shape that we know) is better than anything they've released since then! Well maybe better tjan Song For Someone, 13 and The Best Thing, but... Nah, I listened to it the other day and it was like seeing/meeting your ex after a long time. You kinda wonder 'what did I see in her?'.
  10. I'm with Sergio on this. I still really like the lyrics, but the music sounds...weird and cheesy at best. I'd be happy to see Bono use those lyrics and that melody somewhere, but the rest... don't care for that much, it hasn't aged well.

For me it's like seeing a hot ex, "My god, I miss her, I wish she would return."
  12. Musically North Star is a great start, but it really needs to be a full band song. Lyrically I love it. I don't think it's a 'classic' U2 song, but it's a special one for me. I do wish they'd just release some version of it... Thematically it's brilliant, this lonesome ballad about outer space.
