Yes I know. But Blue-Room said that the Indoor Zoo's were the only time Bono appeared alone to start the show. And I answred that it's not true, in may pre-84 shows Bono said a few words before Gloria, 11 O'Clock or whatever.

I was just adding to the point that you made. I should have put . . . . before my sentence

Yeah, but they still sort of all came out together. Most of the time in the early days they would all run on stage at the same time.

Zoo indoor was the only time where it was consistantly every night with Bono completely by himself.

    Absolutely true.
  5. 'I could have lost you........slipping through the cracks.....slipping through the cracks'

listened to a few performances now and he definatley sings the above
  6. great! Definitely a great intro! thanks!
  7. That bass is just pure unadulterated creamy sex.
  8. Been listening to a lot more u2 than usual lately and I think this is my favourite opening track of an album, even better than Streets. I deliberately listened to Joshua Tree and rattle and hum in full lately then went into Achtung baby and hearing the bands transformation even now is quite remarkable. All I want is you, last song on rattle and hum then zoo station to open Achtung baby, it’s ridiculous in the best possible way. I’m loving the new album a lot and I’m loving the sentimentality in there too but Achtung baby is the best example of an album that doesn’t mean too much to me emotionally yet blows me away just by being absolutely brilliant music wise.
  9. I did the same thing recently. Dropped a dish on my foot and I’ve been off my feet for a week with a badly bruised foot. Great chance to listen to some U2.

I got into U2 back in 1991 so for me I fell in love with the 90’s U2. Then I worked my way backwards into their 80’s discography.

I always wondered what reaction I would have had if I was old enough to appreciate this band in the 80’s and then seen that change into the 90’s.

Zoo Station is my favourite album opener! Love listening to it with headphones!

Achtung Baby is one of those albums I could listen to for the rest of my life and I would never tire of it. I know exactly what you mean about Zoo Station, that introduction is vastly disparate from what any U2 fan was accustomed to. It's like a completely different band.
  11. Remember the transition from All I Want is You to Actung Baby actually starts with the fly not zoo station as it was the first single- which is even more unbelievable
