    Well... just wondering why an internal recording from a 100 dollar device and high levels has the same rating as an external recording with 1500 dollar mics?

    It's not a matter of the money you spend in your gear, the same as size isn't everything in sex, power is nothing without control, etc.

    A recording with super high Neumann, AKG or Schoeps at a bad location WILL sound worse than a recording made with a Zoom H1's internals at a perfect sounding spot. You already know this: location, location, location.

  10. Back to the early days...

    The demo session in Eamon Andrews Studios, Feb 1979, includes one of my favorite tracks ever, False Prophet.

    However, the clip is only 2:17, and I recently found a complete copy of said demo on youtube, which lasts the whole 4 minutes.

    I'm not sure if you want to edit the new one (there's someone talking at the beginning during the song, which can be edited using the version we have in here, and there's also voices at the end, which can be easily trimmed out), to see if it could be reuploaded in here.

    In the meantime, I made my own version in here, in case anyone is interested as well:


    I edited the voices like I said before, but I also mixed the second verse (the one missing from our audio), since Bono is basically screaming instead of singing, so I combined the first verse with it to make it less annoying for me.

    at the same time, it's possible that there's already a complete version of Night Fright, Alone in the Light or Inside Out, which would be awesome if it could be get tracked down...
