Tour: Experience and Innocence tour
Songs played: 26
Audio recordings: 2
  1. I can see that... it works better replacing SATS than AS musically (pace, acoustic...) and thematically.

Still not sure if they'd keep AS in Europe, maybe in a less prominent role?

(BTW, I find your name a bit disturbing, we're having presidential elections in Mexico, and every time I see your name I think that you're cheering for one of the candidates with a similar name, also in caps...)

Oh please no (the last part, they are equally awful)
  3. I’m very surprised we are this far into the tour and the encore hasn’t been tweaked.

They must be feeling that meh vibe from it no?

For what I've read from people in the shows, the meh vibe is very noticeable only at the beginning of the encore (the speech + One), but then it sort of disappears with Love is Bigger.

Then, when the wtf vibe comes at the end of There is a Light ("is it over?"), the band has already left, so maybe they don't feel is that bad.

(However, they do like to tweak some of the parts that seem to work a lot better than this, so...)
  5. I think they have set their hearts on ending the show with 13 as a sort of "regained innocence" conclusion. One is definetly for stay (and it works each time for me at the show because it is so great to sing along!) and starting the encore with One seems also the obvious choice.

The Bono talk is just something I think all should respect. There is some serious good work going on with the One campaign and now with Women of the World. Too bad if this is a moodkiller for anybody, but hey, this is a U2 show and some things are just more important than entertainment.

Now if they could only squeeze in a song like Streets, WOWY or maybe even Bad between One and LIBTAIIW, I think it would make all the difference. Maybe U2 feels that this doesn't fit thematically , or perhaps they think it would lift the spirits too much, I don't know, but I think it will leave much more fans satisfied if they did.

For the rest I think the show works really well, although at this point I think the SBS is better replaced by RBW. And each time RFD is omitted, I do miss it.

I agree... I am fine with the ending. I will definitely miss RBW, though... for me it was a key link to the transition from innocence to experience...

And I would love to see RFD as an additional song, but if I have to choose between it and Gloria... Gloria all day long!
  7. I think a song before one would work better than a song after. The talking thing before it is not unexpected but if they want to do this then there’s a better way of putting it into the show instead of putting it at the beginning of an encore. As suggested before I think ultraviolet would work well as the encore opener, then he can do his talking and play one. Apart from that though I think the love is bigger/13 combo is the best way to end the show so really all I want is a great encore opener.

    Far from it!

The AML stands for (Angela, Michael & Lily). My name surrounded by my wife's and daughter's names.
