It finally dawned to me that they're taking themselves too serious...or rather: they're taking the narrative too serious.

They're actually falling in the same trap as once in the 80-ies. They recovered very well from this with Achtung Baby, but I really doubt if they can dream it all up again one final time.

Indeed, it would be good if they have some reflection and bring back a little more fun and spontaneity.
  2. It’s weird because Edge specifically said in the hot press interview that once they finally figured out a show they started to work on it again. In other words when they were happy with the Setlist they would start to change it, however all the evidence is they’ve settled for a certain Setlist and looking at the most minimal of change with 1 rotation slot. I honestly thought they would have done something similar to I&E and had 4 or 5 changes from one night to the next. It’s not something that bothers me now, I was a bit surprised at first especially when the Setlist started to shorten but I’ve accepted it now and enjoying what they are playing.
  3. This is what Edge said in hot press just for reference sake

“We have sections of the show that are pretty well formed as a set-piece and other places where it’s pretty loose,” Edge responds. “We’ll get used to how it all fits together, then we’ll see where there are opportunities to change it up and try different things. U2 shows are never in a stable condition: it’s either on the way to being perfected or, once we feel that it’s there, we’re dismantling it, and trying different things. There’s always a process of change.”

Edge and Bono can be in the UN for their diplomatic efforts.
  5. Based on these NY shows, I doubt we will more rotation in Paris, Milan, and Dublin.
  6. Never have I been this far into a tour and not been looking to see what shows I can add to my itinerary. I can't believe I'll still be in Berlin for the second show and have absolutely zero intention in trying to go to it.

Yep. Hate to say it but I've completely lost interest in this tour almost to the point where I forget that it's even happening.

Same here. I went to all 8 at msg in 2015. I enjoyed the two shows I saw but had no desire to go to other 3 area shows this time around.
  9. I'll also add that I don't particularly dislike the album either. My heart just isn't in this tour one little bit. Seeing all that shite talk during Desire nigjt on night kinda drives it home. Will see what happens in Europe I guess.
  10. The Boss as the selist progresses...

There are things off the album that are great that they could play..... SOL, Little Things and I actually like the Showman.....
