1. That was from 2 months ago, when the tour was just beginning.

My question is why is there opinion that appears to be gathering momentum that the E and I Tour 2018 may be U2's last US tour? At this stage of their career and age, anything is certainly possible, but I haven't seen anything from the band stating this is indeed reality. Adam confirmed no touring plans or shows for 2019 but how does this equate to not playing in the US again?

I sincerely appreciate any insight or context!
    Thank you!

A lot of people see the message of the songs on the current album to be fitting as an end for the band. Combine that with the band getting a bit older and Bono’s brush with mortality and it’s maybe understandable why people are putting 2+2 together and getting 5. The good thing is the band have made it pretty clear retiring after this tour is not in there plans. The consistent message is they will be back after a break and probably a lengthy break (3-5 years maybe?). I don’t know if they’ve got a lot of albums and tours to go but I’m 100% certain they’ve got at least 1 more of each in them and still fairly confident we get even more than that.
  3. Missed that. But people were all up in arms when we were discussing Horses being rehearsed despite it being featured on U2’s official social media accounts.

People generally accept that spoilers will appear on the bands social media prior to the start of a tour and will therefore mute the accounts or unfollow.
  5. After watching the on YouTube from msg and Nassau cool in NY, Bono looked, sang and moved extremely slow and tired. A sign of older age, yes, but it was more than that to me...he didn't look healthy. He looked overweight and at times just phoning it in. Personally I think they will scale back touring a lot in the future or will no longer tour.... let's be honest here Larry is finished, he doesn't want anything more to do with this after the European dates, if he leaves or quits, the band is finished. They will not play or add another drummer back there like other bands have done..... Larry started the band Larry will end the band. Bono and edge may do other projects, but I see Adam and Larry both out if music altogether.

Well I was front row in MSG and he looked fine and very energetic. Way more than during last year's tour also

I have many issues with the setlist and variation in this tour, but we can't judge the energy at a show just from some youtube videos.
Larry is finished, doesn't want anything more to do with this after European dates? Neither you or anyone here can know that. Larry is impossible to read. I feel like Larry is a receptacle where we see what we want to see. If we don't like this period of the band, then we think we see that Larry hates to be there, but if we are enjoying this tour, then we think we see Larry enjoying this tour more than others.
  8. So...what you're saying is Larry thinks it's time to take a bit of an extended break, sign onto nugs, and hire hoserama to manage an archive series release for the next couple years?

    I like this Larry guy.

If only we could be so lucky
  10. Larry isn't on board any longer, even the others have stated that in numerous occasions. It has nothing to do with what kind of music they are trying to conjure up, when someone is done doing something, the fire to do it isn't there, let's face it these guys are gonna want to go out on top, not limp off with negative talk and reviews about how they should have left yrs ago.

When has it ever been stated that Larry isn’t on board anymore by anyone other than fans guessing probably due to nothing more than an expression on his face? I think people are believing what they want to believe without any substance to it. There’s literally no evidence to suggest the band are calling it a day and plenty of evidence from the band themselves they will carry on. We’ll see in a few years I guess but it’s better to stick to the facts until then.
  12. Didn’t he say in an interview from the Joshua Tree tour that he was having a good time and didn’t want to stop?
