Experience and Innocence tour
Legs (3): Promo tour, Leg 1: North America, Leg 2: Europe
Shows: 79
  1. I agree actually. They could have reworked some of the SOE songs. Like a Crazy Tonigjt/360 esque Best Thing or Love Is Bigger... or come to Toronto. Or even closer to me so maybe I could see them!
  2. Haha, tell that to U2.

I’d be surprised if they weren’t hella tired by now.
  3. For touring a good chunk of the last four years, they deserve a nice break
  4. So....

Was Experience+Innocence the better tour than The Joshua Tree 2017?
  5. I was just thinking, U2 really left out a lot of their warhorses this tour. No Streets, Still Haven’t Found, WOWY, Bullet, or MW - five of their most dependable, expected live tracks; no Bad or 40 either which are very nearly in the same territory. Dropping SBS and UTEOTW partway through Europe is another two of their steadiest warhorses gone. On top of that, Stuck, Angel of Harlem, and Party Girl never appeared, all songs I think we sort of expect to crop up at some point in a tour.

While yes, there’s a case to be made that even keeping the same narrative intact, the band could have definitely had more rotation, I think it’s interesting to see how well (I thought) the shows worked. Of course Streets, Bad, and 40 would only ever add to a show but really... I didn’t miss any of the warhorses that were absent. The shows, I thought, didn’t suffer from their absence- even Streets.
  6. I'm probably not the only one who does this, but the whole tour I've kept a playlist on spotify following the tour. In its entirety it follows the format of the show, with every song performed; inspired by the charts U2gigs has done after the past couple tours. Still waiting on their results, but for those interested...the ultimate E+I Setlist...

  9. Indeed. This morning I added Noel Gallagher's It's a Beautiful World to my playlist.
