1. I'm not sure I can go there, but at least my soul will be there.

It was similar to this when I was there a few years back.
  3. Well, depending on how many shows in Melbourne they do, I'll try for them all. Start saving now...

That's not gonna happen there is nothing there from the last 2 albums 3 to 4 songs will survive from the I&E duo.
  5. As much as I like most of SoI and SoE, are there honestly any enduring songs from these that should be played at all on subsequent tours?

All I can think of is: Love Is All We Have Left, The Lights Of Home, It's The Little Things That Give You Away, Landlady, 13, Book Of Your Heart, Every Breaking Wave, Iris, Raised By Wolves, Cedarwood Road, Lucifer's Hands, The Crystal Ballroom and The Troubles. And I've not really kept up with live proceedings - have all of these been played?
  6. No SOI songs survived by the end of E&I. Also I think it was Adam that spoke about the songs being meant for arena’s before the E&I tour began, he was on a radio show saying that was always what was intended. At this stage the only songs from SOI and SOE that I can see being played again on a full tour show are EBW and Love Is Bigger. Nothing to do with song quality as there’s a good few I’d be happy to keep but I think the band will feel the vast majority of the songs from the last few years are very much centred around there own tour and story and won’t fit in a future tour, none of us know though it’s all guess work about a tour that we don’t even know will happen yet, if I’ve got even half of it right I’ll be impressed with myself lol.

Here’s the interview about 11.15 seconds in he mentions about the songs being played indoors.

If they are going down under they would want to play a couple of songs from the last 2 albums as they've missed out on the last 3 tours, In fairness U2 don't wanna be the Rolling Stones or The Eagles by exclusively playing songs that were released 40 years ago they do like to mix it up by playing new and old which is rare as most other band's and singers from their era are doing greatest hits tour.
  8. I would still stand by my prediction of no SOI/ SOE songs in the set although wouldn’t be too surprised if the 2 I mentioned appeared. Just having a thought though I wonder if they would release a song or 2 to promote the tour and play them live to add something fresh to the shows, just a thought.
  9. I believe songs like Cedarwood Road, Song for someone, Little Things and Love is bigger could be played in a stadium show
  10. Wow, I have a lot to chatch up with. In Berlin we were all sad (well kind of, we were in fact all really happy after the amazing show) for saying goodbye to the band for at least a couple of years. Now I am really surpized how things have changed in 1,5 days. Excellent news of course, I am really happy for all the fans that were not that lucky as we in Europe / US in the last couple of years! Fingers crossed...
  11. I can see the band playing this tour a lot more loosely, for lack of better terms. Like the songs of the last 3 tours with the fun spirit of 360°. Something a little bit different each night, but using the same formula.
Some I+E songs I can imagine coming back: The Miracle, Every Breaking Wave, Song for Someone, Lights of Home, Summer of Love, Red Flag Day, Little Things, Blackout, Love is Bigger… maybe songs like Iris, Best Thing, Get Out of Your Own Way, 13 even?
But I am hopeful that the band and the crew will put together the best possible show they can for their Oceanic fans. (Am I using that word right?)
  12. Let's wait and see what pops up over the next few months..... At this point, I'm happy and satisfied with the three tours we got over the last four years. ....If this Australia/NZ/Japan thing is on in stadiums, then we will practically get a new tour... Makes it very tempting to make travel plans.. Would be difficult to miss out on a new stadium concept.....
