I'm getting chills thinking about it. That gig was incredible. Real Thing started and the make-shift stands/seats they had put up for the concert started quite literally rocking back and forth. My mom was about to have a heart attack and I experienced a mixture of great fear but great excitement!

"And I have no compass, and I have no map
And I have no reasons, no reasons to get back"

"Uncertainty can be our guiding light".

Man, the song in its entirety is amazing, but that second half carries some of Bono's all-time best lyrics, IMO.

That second half has my favorite U2 lyrics.

  2. I like both. It was better than Mother And Child Reunion, that's for sure.

Dublin 4 has the best performance of the ie version. It's perfect! Those people talking really get on my nerves though.

  3. I always listen to 360 version in full volume in my car ..i love it
  4. Echo this sentiment two years later again. Some of his best, for sure. And having just re-read U2 At the End of the World, the lyrics make so much sense given where the band was at in 92/93.

Make it +2. Zooropa's second half lyrics are just out of this world. So much poetry, so much truth, so much greatness.
  6. Favorite of the album and maybe the farthest they strained from the normal U2 sound (until Pop)
  7. I’d say even more than Pop, to be honest. Pop still has those Bono vox and Edge guitar tones for the most part.

Numb, Lemon, Daddy’s Gonna Pay, all those songs are just so damn out there.

    If we count Passengers though......
  8. Zooropa is still the best.

I wouldn’t disagree with this at all
  10. I recently listened to Daddy's Gonna Play With Your Crashed Car. Its a very underrated song.
  11. Zooropa has 2 good songs, Zooropa and Stay. Dirty day is ok. A shame that Zooropa is not a live regular. The rest of Zooropa is just a lot of rubbish.
