First element of doubt starting to creep in for me.

Strange live nation would promote the queen tour first, which is over a year away.
  2. Same here. The optimist in me is hoping it’s to do with finalising the other Asia dates, they have been very quiet in those. Pessimist is saying is toying on the brink of not going ahead.

Even so the other big bands getting in first all eat into sales which could mean less U2 shows. In Aus people will not buy tickets to tonnes of acts. Just seems to be the way it is, high ticket prices would co tribute to this.
  3. Is it possible that the reliable sources aren’t quite as reliable as we would like to believe? By that I mean the people sharing the info on here, u2songs etc could be speaking to someone who has gave them true information in the past but the news the individual(s) are giving now could be aimed at continuing the hype and excitement amongst fans while the band are going to be away from the limelight for a while. It’s just a theory, I know if I managed a band I’d want there fans to be talking about them even when they weren’t up to much and certainly wouldn’t want news to go quiet for too long. At the same time I’m not completely dismissing that the rumours could all be true just throwing in another possible take on things.

It could be possible that it was a green light a month ago but now things aren’t as certain too
  5. Is Queen a Live Nation act?

I wouldn’t be surprised if they delay U2 to another week this month. Two mammoth announcements on one day? They would want to keep them seperate?

Yes they are LiveNation. So if U2 goes ahead it would be at least 2/3 weeks before they announce imo.
  7. Wonder what U2song's birthday present is then
  8. Damnit
  9. we better should go back to just speculating for fun instead of these so called reliable rumours. I know U2songs is right most of the time but still I think they are not a good thing for the U2 community. I hope they stop with this BS, right or wrong.
  10. I think its unfair to be bashing U2 Songs.
  11. Yep. Looks like their page is updated too:
The announcement being held tomorrow in Australia is for a tour by Queen of Australia. The announcement for U2 will not be tomorrow. With a busy week for Live Nation in Australia with the second shows by Metallica going on sale, and the tour by Queen being announced we do not expect a tour announcement at this time. We asked our source at Live Nation and they informed us that “U2 fans will have to wait a little while yet.”
Expect an announcement later in the month.

And as they always state: "Again, the news above has not been officially confirmed, and until such time that it is can be subject to change right up until the final announcement."

You can also choose not to read and follow rumours and just wait and see.
