Joshua Tree Tour 2019
Legs (1): New Zealand, Australia and Asia
Shows: 15
  1. There were reports that the sound quality was poor . Very much depends where you are in the stadium would be my view
  2. Just listening to the gig from last night

How great would be it be if after the Joshua tree has finshed , when Bono says “here’s what came next “ they play the combination of zoostation , the fly and wild horses. Exactly the same section from the E and I tour . Cut the encore down then ,

We were just opposite the b stage on Edge's side in the stands and thought the sound was great.

Back tonight with seats at the far end of the field so hopefully it will as good.

    That would be fantastic.

Saying that I really enjoyed Angel of Harlem. Only critique was it just felt weird where it was included and it just being one song after the full Joshua tree album.
  5. Can someone explain to me why Bono came out wearing macphisto makeup in even better than the real thing of all songs?

Could be mistaken but don't think it was macphisto. Referred to himself as the ''showman" during that segment.

I thought it was macphisto myself originally.

Snap! I was behind Larry last night and am also sitting in the back stand tonight looking forward to getting a different perspective.

One thing I did notice with the sound was it wasn't uncomfortably loud. I'm very protective of my ears these days and often wear plugs but went without for some of the night. It was only when Larry gets heavy footed in the likes of Exit and Bullet was I wary (but those songs need it)

Agree, I was expecting MacPhisto when I saw the top hop but he described himself as both a Showman and a Shamam. Either one of those personification is apt.
  9. I thought it was a great show for a first night. For me The energy cranked up a few notches once they got into Angel, Elevation, Vertigo etc. Something weird happened with the sound and edges guitar in LIB. Think it worked better on E & I when you played the first part of the song on keyboard. But this is why I love live music, if you want perfection put on a CD. Also enjoyed Noel but then again I am a fellow Mancunian. Up Manchester!
  10. Having had to put up with Kanye West and Jay-Z on the last two tours, Noel was a refreshing change. All credit to him and his band, they were enjoyable to watch.

Looking at Edge he didn't appear happy at the start of LIB.

Not sure if it was an equipment malfunction, but something did sound off initially.
