The play on autopilot and Bono doesnt give much on the songs and avoid alot of the high notes. to me he is worse now than on Popmart and Elevation tour.....
It is so booring that they detune alomst every song, they turn the songs to Karaoeke versions....

    The band should. read this:

I normally agree with you Bono vocal analysis. But here I disagree. I had VERY low expectations going into Melbourne and honestly it was the most passionate I have seen him sing out of the NYC 2015 and Milan 2018 shows I saw. To me it really seemed like he put hi self in the JT songs. The happy meal section and Macphisto reboot was trite but the rest of the show was pretty special imo
  2. Nice! Love seeing stuff like that!.

Was at Melbourne Friday night and was right behind Larry about 2 people back and when they finished Bad Bono come over to Larry and said "perfect!". Something you just don't see unless you're there.

    Yes!

On that note, has anyone else noticed that they all move to the front of the stage for Edge's solo in Sunday Bloody Sunday? It seems like such a silly 'choreographed' move, but it actually gave me goosebumps when I was there.

    That's the joke, lol.
  5. Probably not the most appropriate topic for this but... on Friday night in Melbourne I was in GA 2-3 people back directly behind Larry on the B stage. Being so close I was obviously hearing Larry's drums in person and also through the PA (if that makes sense). So I found when they were playing on the B-stage it kind of sounded like Larry was out of time (playing early). Anyone else experienced/noticed this while being close to Larry on the B stage? It was a little off putting at first.
  6. Uuhm, I have. I have been so close that I can hear Larry's drum without amplification. There is a delay from the moment he hits to when it comes out over the main PA. Apparently it has been not good this tour. I believe the term is latency but when I could stand to be corrected.
  7. I was in the same position for the first night in Auckland and, while there were two distinct sounds, I found myself marvelling at my proximity and thinking "I can hear Larry literally hitting his kit, and not just through the speakers ". To me that was more awesome than off putting but then I tend not to be overly critical (In the sense of questioning things).

I had the exact same experience in Melbourne. Was GA on the tree one person back and noticed it immediately too. At first was difficult to stop noticing but during the heavier loud moments, the rest of the band kind of drowned it out. Still cool to be that close.
  9. Yeh no doubt I was in awe of being so close! I think it was just the fact that I could hear the snare drum distinctly in person and the bass through the PA. Still sounded amazing and after initially noticing I was taken away by the performance and didn't realise soon after.

I took a little video during AoH, I'll try and upload to help demonstrate my point.
  10. I tried sharing a short clip of Bad but it didn't take. Is there a file size limit?
  11. I know it's only a short video but u think you'll see my point
  12. Is this drum delay a new thing for this stage setup? I can never remember seeing this in person or on video from any other tour. Granted, I don’t recall a full drum kit so far from the PA stack but it sounds disorientating as hell.
