  2. I think Boots worked for me. I was 14 when the album came out. And it was the really 1st U2 album I've listened to

    GOYB was decent live and far better than SOE's singles, like The Best Thing and GOOYOW.

  4. Boots is to U2 what Shiny Happy People was to R.E.M. it's a jangly pop song with ridiculous lyrics that appeals to some but not one of their more memorable efforts.

    Crazy Tonight is a jangly pop song. Boots is a beautiful disaster.
  6. I think sonically it’s interesting, I like the chorus and bridge a lot. The verses hold it back but it’s not nearly as bad as it’s reputation
  7. I personally have never had an issue with the lyrics. They're fine to me.
  8. Magnificent should have been the first single it's probably the best song on the album ,at the time it grabbed most people as the standout song ,musically Boots isn't the worst it's the lyrics and chorus that suck it left a lot of people with a bad taste.
