1. I would say for fans outside of Europe there’s probably 6 songs from AB that they either haven’t seen at all or haven’t seen for at least 14 or 15 years. The 3 obvious ones which are trying to throw your arms around the world, so cruel and love is blindness none of which have been played in full since zoo tv just the half version of love is blindness in Argentina. Then zoo station which hasn’t been played outside of Europe since 2006 and the fly which has only featured at a handful of shows outside of Europe since 2006. (Not counting the I&E intermission obviously which isn’t a live performance). Finally wild horses has only been played once outside of Europe on a full tour show since 2006. Twice in total when you include the Apollo show. For those outside of Europe who didn’t see zoo station or wild horses on the vertigo tour they would have had to see them on zoo tv. Acrobat still hasn’t been played enough either and I’m sure big fans of AB would love to hear it played every night again on a tour. Even as a European who has seen the songs a few times now I still can’t get enough of AB. To quote a lyric in numb ‘Too much is not enough’.

    +1
  3. It’s just such a nice fun simple tune. Could easily be on rotation with songs like Stuck, Angel of Harlem, Desire, etc. Those mid show pallet cleanser type slots. Easy to play, easy on Bono’s voice.

Nice analysis. I absolutely second that. I would love to see the AB 30 tour. With Trabants on the stage of course
  5. Just do an AB bit in a normal tour...
  6. Combining a tour of a new album with an AB tribute would be good. Play the album in full, play 7 new songs and play 5 or 6 hits. I’d rather have separate tours though because that would mean more shows and likely quite different setlists for an AB tour and a new tour.
  7. That's fine though. Last leg 360 was the best of the tour and same with EI.
  8. It’s fine if you were one of the people who seen they shows but most u2 fans won’t have seen at least half of AB for 15,16 years possibly since zoo tv depending on the shows they caught. And definitely no fan has seen a full performance of 3 of they songs since zoo tv. I also can’t be the only fan that witnessed plenty of AB recently and still would love to see more. If they had played shows like the end of 360 and the end of E&I for full tours then I could understand that plenty of people have seen enough AB but it isn’t the case.
  9. If I recall correctly, they rehearsed acoustic versions of trying to throw your arms and the fly early on in the 2015 rehearsals. So with that plus the rehearsals attempts in 2010, I don't think the song is totally out of reason to eventually show up.

Surprised Acrobat made it first than Arms Around the World
