1. U2 have become experts at playing half full venues in the US. I don't think this will surprise them much.
  2. Have tickets for Simple Minds in December 2020 but the gig was rescheduled to December 2021 a few months back. At this stage, even that is looking optimistic.

While I think large international acts are going to be impacted longer, I am hopeful this situation presents an opportunity for smaller local artists to tour more often in an appropriately safe environment.
  3. at least for queing there's already a coronaproof solution, extensively tested at previous U2 tours
  4. Are they selling tickets for venues at full capacity? Look at Little Mix for example. They've put on a UK Tour for May 2021 on sale. I think that won't happen, but even if it does happen at a reduced capacity how do they choose who can actually attend if they've sold out the arena?

In these cases what they're doing (at least here in Spain) is split the crowd into 3 or more different performances/dates, and let ticketholders choose which of the rescheduled dates they want to go to. That's doable for small capacity venues (clubs, theatres, etc), not for arenas and stadiums though.

EDIT. Just read your post again. You're talking about new concerts put on sale? Wow, I'm having a hard time accepting anyone would put a full arena on sale in this day and age, it's plain absurd

  6. Everything is down to max 30 people and bars/restaurants are closed again after today. I saw my first (and likely last) 'concert' of this year 2 weeks ago, wich was at this open air theatre (Vondelpark) where everyone was seated at 6ft from eachother. Can't see any indoor concert taking place for at least the next month or so and a regular capacity filled Arena is probably a year off..
  7. Pet Shop Boys - 2021-05-11 - Amsterdam
    Kim Wilde - 2021-11-20 - Utrecht
    Therapy? - 2022-01-29 - Utrecht
  8. Sitting in a venue with about 50 or more socially distant fans waiting to see an up and coming Sydney singer/songwriter who goes by the name Alex The Astronaut. In other times the crowd would be 20 times bigger but it's still good to be out seeing live music again.
  9. Thanks for sharing Mike.
  10. Just scored a ticket for Max Giesinger (German singer) in Oberhausen. It's open air and officially "corona-safe", with seats at distance between each other, masks and negative tests mandatory etc.
Number of tix is limited and the server crashed - but I've got some experience with that

    17th July 2021 - I'm in! I SO need a party
