    Still the most overrated and over romanticized band in my lifetime.
  2. I was always a bit meh with them back in the nineties when all my mates were into them big time, I preferred my music harder and in your face rather than the despressive songs they seemed to churn out,however I have an appreciation for their music now and Nevermind is a superb album
  5. Hahaha sorry! Don't get me wrong, I really really like some of their songs and I consider myself kind of a fan... But at the same time I realize that Nirvana has been highly romanticized due to Nevermind popularising grunge and alternative rock and obviously due to Cobain's tragic death at the peak of their popularity. They have been super influential -especially considering their very short career and the very small output, just 3 albums and a bsides compilation- and nobody can deny that, but I always feel like people really hype them too much.

    I still rate Cobain's final liner note on Incesticide as one of my favorite lines ever, though
