    They were promoting the book and only the book.

Bono was they weren't, missed opportunity I don't see why they shelved SOS it was the perfect time to release it as it would have probably helped promote his book and vice versa anyway back to WAR maybe they have some unreleased pro shot gigs from that time they could release as part of a boxset they did play some big festivals and did a lot of TV appearances including The Tube .
