1. And it was brilliant. Loved it. I'll be listening to this the rest of the week

  2. I listened to it on Tuesday, although it was background music I couldn't help but to be drawn in when certain songs came on. Aside from the obvious, Let's Go Native is my favourite. Definitely should be tried as the opener to a show.
  3. I actually just bought this, it's in the mail
  4. I think a Passengers bump is of utmost importance.

^ What did you think of it?
  5. The very first U2 vinyl I ever purchased.
  6. EDIT:

Probably my favourite vinyl I own, purely because I love the album artwork so much. No idea why.

Id take another Passengers album before another sellout radio album. Difference is, one makes money and the other doesn't. That should be a source of embarassment for a credible band.

I think they were both wrong. There are lots of fans who only like commercial sounding songs, and then there are the kind who only like Boy through TUF, and say U2 sold out. Then there are people who like all the pre Pop albums....and hate Pop without really listening to it...and then there are people like me who like all their albums.....the pop songs, the rock songs, the early punkish songs. There are always the few stray songs I don't really like (A Man And A Woman, One Step Closer, I'll Go Crazy Remix)....but I do like most of their work. I like Passengers, but I probably consider it their worst album...with October next to worst and NLOTH as better than both. Still, as U2's worst album, Passengers is still a nice piece of work. I like to think of it as an ambient piece made for road trips.
  8. Pop is there worst album with the most potential, fact is it's unfinished and it sounds like it, which is a damn shame. Listen to the "new mix" of Gone and you et a glimpse of where Pop coudld've gone.

Passengers to me is a masterpiece, it's U2 stretching out as far as they can, and I'd love to see them do that again, not the same sound or anything, just stretching U2 out that far.
  9. "Theme From The Swan" is perfect.
  10. Agreed about The Swan! 90% of that album to me is more interesting to me than U2's 2000's work

I'm falling in love with Your Blue Room again, after wearing out the From the Ground Up version I've made my way back into the arms of the album version
  11. Funnily enough I've recently fallen back in love with this album. I love putting it on at night, songs like Slug, Always Forever Now, Different Kind of Blue and Beach Sequence just fit perfectly.

I also just bought a turntable and thus begins my mad conquest for vinyl collecting. Seeing as how I don't have Passengers in any physical form (shameful, I know) perhaps i just search for a vinyl copy. They don't come cheap though..
  12. I'm scared to look up how much this amazing album would cost on vinyl
