Notes de la performance: Sunday Bloody Sunday was performed solo by The Edge for the first time and was played in this manner for the rest of the Popmart Tour. Miss Sarajevo was played with Brian Eno. U2 visited Sarajevo to fulfill a promise made during the Zoo TV Tour to play in war-ravaged Bosnia-Herzegovina. It was the first concert the band played in any country that was formerly part of Yugoslavia; the second did not take place until 9 August 2009 in Zagreb, Croatia.

Performance

So, for this show nearing the end of the EU Popmart leg, we are presented with an interesting show, to say the least.

While the band are in great form tonight with Edge playing some fantastic solos or doing some nice changed up playing during songs, we are treated to a pretty eventful night for Bono, who sounds solid from Mofo to Last Night On Earth where he slowly begins to weaken as the setlist goes on, by the time New Year's Day comes along he has blown his voice and results in him being unable to sing the choruses in Pride which, results in Edge having to sing for him, after Staring At The Sun, we are given the first performance of Sunday Bloody Sunday on the tour featuring Edge singing the song solo, it also seems after this that Bono has gotten some of his voice back and although he is still not at 100% he is definitely a bit better than the NYD to SATS section of the gig albeit with some rough patches still being present throughout.

It was also pretty awesome to hear Miss Sarajevo at this show though which featured Brian Eno.

Even with Bono's vocal problems throughout this show, I will honestly say that this was an enjoyable show to listen to with the band playing to a really enthusiastic crowd tonight who seem to be enjoying every moment of the performance, the setlist changes were also cool to see with Miss Sarajevo, in particular, being great to hear at this gig featuring Bono even telling the audience that the song was written for them for the performance, it definitely also seemed that Edge was having a fantastic night as he really did carry the show for me.
