Note dell'esibizione: Out Of Control is performed for the first time in over eleven years. 11 O'clock Tick Tock makes its Elevation Tour debut after appearing at a couple of small pre-tour promotional gigs (even though Bono claimed that they hadn't played it in 20 years), and gets off to a false start when Edge has guitar problems and has to get a new guitar from his technician before the song can proceed. Interestingly, the last time these two songs were played at a full tour concert (10 January 1990, Rotterdam), they were also played consecutively.

Performance

Overall a solid 1st North American leg Elevation tour performance with the band being in good form with the only issues tonight being the beginning of 11 O'Clock Tick Tock where The Edge had to switch guitars and the ending of Pride which, sounded a bit weird though overall than that the band offer a nice performance to the crowd with Bono's voice being in fine form as well.

Suono

A good matrix between the ALD and AUD recordings allows the listener to hear the gig in a clear way while also still being able to enjoy the audience noise with SBDs, IEMS and ALDs mostly don't have.

Another standard crowd for the tour and they seem to be engaged so they will get a 4.0-star rating from me.

Commento generale

So, 3rd night in Chicago for the 1st leg and this is a pretty interesting one, to say the least, not only do you have the standard setlist song changes that this leg sometimes has, but you also have the proper tour debuts of 11 O'Clock Tick Tock and Out Of Control which, are both cool songs to hear in the set than just hearing standard songs in the set for once so that adds some points to the overall experience, so even with a few mess-ups from the band here and there this is still a pretty interesting gig to listen to and enjoy.
