Performance

A fantastic show that concludes the 1st leg of the Elevation tour, featuring the band fully into the swing of things by now by delivering a tight musical performance for the majority of the show, with the only major instrumental fault being Edge having to change guitar during Sunday Bloody Sunday due to what I presume was a string break. While Bono sounds like how he usually does on Elevation, which is to say he has what is known as the "sandpaper" tone on the higher notes and sustains, he still delivers a good enough performance for this evening with the only major fault from him being him messing up and getting lost in the fourth verse of New York where he then speaks sings some of the lyrics.

However, this show also has a unique factor, which is a musical guest here, which happens during the B-Stage set when Daniel Lanois comes on stage and joins them for the live debut of Wild Honey and for The Ground Beneath Her Feet, which both sound nice with his guitar work backing up the acoustic work that Edge does.

Sound

This is a very enjoyable recording with clear sound. The only minor flaw is the click tracks that you can hear sometimes during speeches before the band enters songs. But if you can get past that, then it's a fantastic listening experience from start to finish, with a clear capture of the band and a good amount of audience present at all times.
Recording: IEM - 5 stars

Audience

Much better than your standard North American audience and are much more on par with the European audiences.

Overall

Overall a fine performance to conclude the 1st leg of the Elevation tour featuring a very strong performance from the band from this era, which is backed up by a great crowd, a guest appearance from Daniel Lanois and a debut of a song which all in all adds a bit more to the average 1st leg Elevation tour performance. I'd also say this is probably the most that I've enjoyed a 1st leg Elevation show, too, as you can definitely tell that the band have hit their stride on this tour by here and are ready for the European leg that starts in July.
