Performance

Resembling his vocal shape in Slane a few days later, Bono gives a great performance in London tonight, making his raspy voice stand out in many songs both in emotion but also in power when necessary. The passion dripping out of this man during numbers such as 'Beautiful Day', 'New Year's Day' or 'Kite' is simply incredible. At the same time, the band is playing like a well oiled machine with great and tight playing throughout.

During 'I Will Follow', Bono starts calling out various London based venues the band had visited in the past 20 years, repeating "Earls Court" many times before proceeding into the bridge. The mid-section of 'Sunday Bloody Sunday' features an extended snippet of 'Get Up, Stand Up', including a vocal exchange with the audience and some lovely improvising while the audience is already singing "NO MORE" in the background. Much later, Bono lets out INCREDIBLE belts during 'The Fly'; on top of that Edge goes all out and lets his guitar sing some decent melodies! (pun intended)

Great atmosphere during the show! The audience is cheering loud between songs, singing along during most choruses if not more and making for a very lovely and almost festive atmosphere at Earls Court.
